Lauren
Lauren graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2017. She has since worked within the Hospital, Aged Care (Community and Residential), NDIS, WorkSafe and TAC space. Lauren has experience working within both paediatric and adult Physiotherapy sectors. She has worked closely with clients, their families, formal support teams, medical professionals and funding systems to collaborate toward quality care. She prioritises communication within an individual’s care team and supports, believing this is paramount to successful outcomes and best practice. Although a sole practitioner with Fox & Bird Physio, she works heavily with other professionals collaborating via joint sessions, meetings and frequent communication.
Lauren's primary interests are within neurological Physiotherapy, enjoying working with people who are diagnosed with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, stroke, spinocerebellar ataxia and motor neuron disease; among many others. She enjoys working with people on gross motor and functional movement goals. She has extensive experience with recurrent falls and their prevention, manual handling, mobility/transfers and supportive equipment. Lauren enjoys collaborating with other health professionals toward client goal achievement and has previously worked in a diverse multidisciplinary team, leading to a strong insight to other roles and skillsets in healthcare. ​
